Water Heater Bypass Access

Does anyone know how to get to the back of the water heater in a 2011 Outback 321FRL, to turn on the bypass to winterize ? It almost looks like you need to disassemble the inside stairs to get in there.
Thanks

Its going to be on the back side of the water heater on the bullet its under the rear beds so if the heater is in line with the stairs you should be able to find an access panel.

While you need to be able to reach the back side of the WH, the access may be from one side or the other and not necessarily directly from the back.

There may be a panel held in place by a couple of screws or some other place that you can reach the back of the WH to flip the valve.

One person found a panel at the back of a cupboard that was the access.

It's there, you just have to look hard enough.

Look inside the nearest compartment door. There may be a "false wall" hiding the fresh water fill and water heater.
