Tankless Water Heaters

Has anyone installed one of these, and what do you think about the Girard Brand?

I installed a Girard water heater 1 1/2 years ago. Best mod that I've ever done. I have the GSWH-1M. This one works by changing the burner setting with a dial inside your RV. The more you increase the water flow the cooler the water. I have seen an advertisement from PPL motorhomes for the new Girard GSWH-2, completely electronic, set the temp and forget.

I like the idea, but is it new enough technology in an RV that it could be difficult to get serviced?

Girard has been used in Jayco motor homes for a while. I have heard other techs say they are problematic, but I haven't personally had to deal with a bad one. I do like the idea of adjusting the temp.

Interesting. Glad this is showing up on the RV front. It's about time.

What I'm reading in the reviews:
1) It works well for about 50% water flow if your water is cold (40-50 deg F)
2) Fits in a 6 gallon water heater hole. (model specific)
3) Product support is difficult to get in touch with
