303 protectant

Today I washed the whole trailer and put the aerospace protectant on the shaded side of it. Wow what a difference and is pretty easy to apply. BUT..I have some streaks going on. Its not real bad but I can see it. The gel coat that I've not treated is kind of dry...not near as smooth or slick as what I put the 303 on. The directions say that if it is streaking I'm using to much......but I made sure to use only a little at a time and do a small workable area. Like I said its not real bad, I just looked at it again a few minutes ago and it seams to be that the streaks are blending and kind of going away. Could it be the gel coat is in need of the protector and might need a second coat? I was afraid of putting on to much and having it turn hazy on me and then have a real big mess. Maybe I'm not using enough???? I tried to use another cloth with nothing on it to work the streaks in but that really didn't help. Any idea's?

I just did my trailer maybe 2 months ago and no expert but, I seen spots that I missed when done and walked around to check my work. Aweek or so later looked in same spots and cannot notice problems. I put mine on with a spray bottle and used a buffer.

I've noticed the same streaks when I do mine but I just leave it alone and in a day or two they disappear so no problem...love that 303.

I have found it streaks when I don't use enough...?
I have used it for years and love it, other than the smell.

Thanks for the replies guy's......looked at it today and it looks good except a few small spots I missed. I have a 10" orbital buffer maybe I'll give that a try. If I were to do the whole trailer again in a week or so would it make any difference? or is one coat good enough for awhile. That stuff makes the thing look better then when it was new.....

Are you using the 303 for protection over the whole trailer?
If so. another coat wouldn't cause any harm. I'm just not sure about it's lifespan as an exterior protectant.

We use 303 on the entire exterior. We apply it twice a year. Sunscreen for your stuff!
