Does anyone have a trick to boost antenna reception we are in a area of trees

Without knowing what type of antenna you've currently got and what problems you're having, that's a pretty tough question to answer. Plus, are you talking about TV or radio reception? More information please

Sorry about that it's t.v. reception I have wine guard with wingman we are in a tree area and the signal strength comes and goes didn't know if there was anything I could try to improve it.

Assuming your antenna/amplifier are working properly the only way I see to improve your signal reception is:

1.Raising the antenna higher, preferably above tree level (most likely not possible)

2.Relocate to a more antenna friendly location. (not sure if this is possible either)

to map your location and antenna height to see what reception you can expect?

Before doing anything, you might want to look around your vicinity and see if you have a neighbor with a similar antenna setup. Ask them if they are having issues. If they are, it may well be distance from the transmitter, terrain, tree height, or a weak signal area that you can't do anything about. I'd compare my reception to another system before I started "tearing into things" only to find that nothing is wrong......

Other campers have issues with signal strength, just thought maybe someone had a trick to use.

Just a quick note. The "wingman" works great but is very directional and must be aimed for each UHF transmitter. It does little for VHF signals which may reduce power at night due to FCC regulations. I switched my antenna to a Jack and my signal improved on UHF and not as fussy with aiming. JM2¢, Hank

For awhile I had issues with a huge Elm tree in Utah. Dang thing was right
between me and the remote translator the Salt Lake Stations use to provide
State wide coverage. I found that by lowering the antenna I (the antenna),
could "see" around the tree. They do NOT have to be at full height to do
their job. As long as it's high enough to turn fully in each direction turn it and
see if it helps.
