Outer Banks Camping Info Please
We are planning a trip to the OBX and would love some input on where to camp and what to do after the day at the beach. We would love to be on the water without going broke. I understand there is four wheeling on the beach any info on that would be great as well. Oh yes we will have our kayaks so any suggestions where to go with them would be appreciated.
Thanks

Obx
We went to OBX three years, stayed at the KOA and were satisfied. Can't help with the extra curricular activities, we just did the beach, beach, beach. Beach during the day, fire on the beach at night. We do enjoy Myrtle Beach much more now, riding around on the golf cart and beach when ever we wish.

We stay at the Koa ,right on the beach they also have property across the street on the sound side with a pier and beach good for kayaking, wind sailing or just chilling,The staff is friendly and they have a great pool area. You have to set thru a class and pay a registration fee to drive on the beach. We go to this campground 3 or 4 time ayear ,we will be there easter week this years and halloween week.

Hello,
We love the OBX. we have only ever stayed at Frisco Woods down south on Hatteras Island. It is on the sound side with sites that back right up to the water. The Ocean beach access is about a 1/2 mile away. Plenty of shops and restaurants close by too. We really enjoy it. we pass by the other CGs up in Rodanthe (KOA, Camp Hatteras, etc) and always comment that we should stay there to see how they compare, but we always go back to Frisco.
