No idea how old your rig is. Need age too. If it's only a year or two old, it may have the newer converter that can be switched between smart converter mode for conventional lead acid batteries or switched to Lithium mode.

Short answer is: no, you do not HAVE to use a lithium compatible voltage converter to charge your lithium battery……but if you want to have your battery charged to full capacity, then you will need a converter that will top off the lithium battery to a slightly higher voltage. Others may offer advice on how to determine if you have a voltage converter that is capable of addressing a lithium battery’s optimum needs. You will have to supply the year, make and model of your camper and also the model of the voltage converter to get that information. The new forum rules require you put this information in your signature, so members can better answer your questions.

Announcement - please read
There has been a recent change in the community rules. This is the new "signature standard". Please notice that a signature is now "required to be completed" by all members and displayed in each post.

Also, while we're at it, please take note of how you display your trailer brand/model (both helps others identify your trailer). While Keystone doesn't duplicate model numbers in current years, there have been/are a number of model numbers that were in one brand and later that same model number has been used in another brand. So, please take a look at your profile to make sure you have the RV year, brand and model number displayed. It'll help other members know what you are asking questions about.

Here's the new standard as posted in the community rules:

Signature Standards

Signatures must be setup in your profile rather than manually added to your messages. They will appear at the bottom of every post you make.
Signatures may not include email addresses, links to competing websites, prompts to contact or a sales pitch.
Signatures must follow our forums posting standards and only one line may be bolded.

To create a signature go to the User CP tab in the upper left corner of the page. Click it then find the tab on the left that says "edit signature". Click that then fill in the box with the pertinent information requested then save.

Daily many questions are asked that are specific to a member's RV/TV etc. but they don't provide adequate information to give an informed response which leads to repeated efforts to acquire the needed info. The information benefits everyone.
