New Springdale owner in upstate NY

Hello all,

Introducing myself as a new owner of a used 2009 Springdale that I basically got for free. Long story, but I have had experiences in camping with my family as a child none as an adult in my own trailer. My family member might’ve forgotten many things already because it was in the 90s we traveled as a child. I’d love to learn about how to fix up some of the issues so I look forward to the group help!

Thank you!

Thank you.

I do have a question, my microwave blew out one day. Where do I go check this fuse/breaker to get it running again?

Greetings and welcome DreamyLea!

Congrats on the Springdale!

The microwave is powered off the 120 volts AC bus, so I would first look for a tripped circuit breaker. If tripped, the breaker handle will be short of halfway down, and to reset it, move the lever all the way to off and back up to on. I am not sure where your circuit breaker panel is in your Springdale, sorry to say.

Hope this helps!

Welcome to the forums and good luck with the Springdale. It sounds like yours needs a little TLC, but you'll get "it" there. Enjoy and happy camping!

You should have a power center that looks similar to the one in the picture below. As suggested, check that the 120v circuit breakers are not tripped. Reset as necessary. You may need to pull the microwave out and check for power at the outlet with a multimeter.

Your microwave breaker and A/C breaker will be the first to trip if you have a 30A camper. The breaker may not appear tripped but to reset, click it all the way down then back up. I got sick of our microwave tripping when the A/C was on (actually our main breaker next to the A/C and microwave breakers). I wired the microwave to an outside waterproof plug and connect it to a 15/20A outlet on a power pedestal so it is on its own power source.

I suggest you visit the UserCP at top/left of each page and fill out the PROFILE and SIGNATURE fields with year, make and model of your tow vehicle and camper so your questions will have context and answers more on-point. Welcome!
