I had a 2002 F350 SRW LB 7.3 prior to this and loved it but it just wasn’t up to the task. As far as the Edge tunes, the Edge Evolution CTS has three canned tunes but I’m only using it for monitoring right now. I did load the tow (#2) and it seemed to work but due to all the negative feedback I am back to stock until I can get a custom tune. The fuel, yes I have PLENTY and man do those fuel ups hit the pocket book when I’m empty, luckily that’s not often.....

My brother has a Chevy 2500HD and he replaced his tank with a 47 gallon transflow, so ya it hit's the wallet hard but he can travel a long way before refueling.

Gearheads has some great tunes from what I've read, I'm running PHP tunes and Bill is a top notch guy, I'm lucky thou Bill is about 20 minutes from me so I just had them install the chip and tunes right on the spot.

Our Rig

Compared to all the beautiful diesels and duallies pictured here, our TV is a bit more "modest". We have been towing this hybrid with our Edge for the last 3 summers. It's been a great combo for us and a pleasure to tow. We purchased a Passport 300BH last Fall just before the first snow. We are now in the market for a larger TV and will be putting up the hybrid for sale as soon as the snow melts.

Wow, that's quite a move up in space. Good luck with the sale and hunt for a new TV!

thanks BirchyBoy
After 3 years, we knew we needed a bigger rig. So we created an extensive list of must-haves and nice-to-haves. This unit met most of our requirements without having to make many compromises. It was a deal almost to good to pass up so we moved on it quickly. (It had only been used twice by an older couple w/o kids for a total of 6 days. It's practically new.)

Ya I have 110 Gallons total and its nice knowing that I don’t have to stop at every fuel station i pass when on long trips.

As far as the tunes, I gotta find someone that knows the F550 stuff, I hear there are some differences in the way the fan operates and the trans shifts with the 4.88 gears. I’ll be starting my search soon.

Hansel,, thank you..

Ya these 6.Ohs are a bit finiky if you will. Once Bullet Proofed they are much better However they still requrie some close attention to detail. I have been told the best tuner for it is the SCT with custom tunes. Does your guy at GoPowerHungry write tunes for the SCT? Again my research on this for my F550 is only in its infant stages. Thx again!!!

PHP does do SCT tune's, that's what the web page say's, but Bill is one heck of a 7.3L tuner, my truck runs so smooth. My son was shocked the other night when I let him drive in the 120hp setting

Would a discussion about tuners be more appropriate in a new thread about "tuners"? It seems that this thread might need to be re-tuned to get it back on track to the original topic of photos/pics about our members' tow vehicles.......????

Nice looking BTW,

That pic was taken last fall, although you are more than welcome to come cut the green stuff in the southern humidity! LOL

Wow, that's quite the setup you have there. I've never seen waveriders on top of a truck like that. Very cool.

Those jetrax setups are nice. Have you towed your trailer with them in there? How did it do?

Edit: just realized that you have a 5th wheel. Disregard. Nice setup though.
