Shower knob fell off

Brand new Keystone passport. Used shower first time hot water knob fell off as if not tightened. Water flow pushed out small spring and rubber washer. Need to reassemble correctly and no diagram available. Can send pics if helpful. Thanks

If you take the handle off the valve, can you see any type of retaining ring?

attached is what i have the white part is attached to know via screw behind cover. I'm unclear on how the spring and washer go back. Also, I should remove cartridge from knob, install, then place knob back on tighten screw correct?Click image for larger version

Take the center off the colored knob, and you should be able to remove a screw and pull off the knob.

Once it’s off we can figure out what holds the valve into the valve body and where the spring goes.

Thanks for the help. Believe I figured it out. the back of the housing is a small hole that the "washer" more spacer spring sits in put rubber to metal portion of valve. Seems to work ok. See after a few weeks of use
