Samsung Fridge - Won't dump ice?

We have a 2019 MHC331RL with the Samsung residential fridge. The icemaker has worked fine and all of sudden it has stopped dumping ice. It will fill the tray, freeze and dump once. Then it fills, freezes and nothing. Will not dump a second time.

I defrosted the freezer by turning it off and allowing everything to thaw out. Started over and same thing. It dumped once and now stuck again. Anyone have this happen and have any lick getting it going again?

When it stops making ice, have you tried pushing the little button on the bottom of the ice maker. This will cause the tray to "dump" and refill with water. If it dumps but no water, it's possible the water line has a clog. It takes about 20-30 minutes for the tray with water to freeze. Try pushing the little button 3 or 4 times in a row, see if water dumps. This is how you winterize with RV antifreeze too.

The advance button will not advance the ice to dump. When it was thawed out, the advance button would dump water but when frozen won't dump the ice. Water flow is just fine to the ice maker?

i’d check the temperature at the ice maker and see if it’s reading within the manufacturer specs…i believe it won’t dump until it hits a precise temp…just because it’s froze doesn’t mean it’s hit that temp
