I use the TST 507 flow through type sensor system, but if you have rubber stems on your wheels, you will need to use the cap style or replace the stems with all metal ones. There are other brands but have not used any others. https://tsttruck.com/shop/kit-sales-us.html

Welcome. Yes, TPMS is always one of the first things that many folks will add to their camping trailer tires. I've had a couple in the past, but the one that I have now is definitely a keeper. High quality, dependable, and usually highly recommended by a lot of folks. Brand: TST Model: 507

There are other brands that others use and like. The TST507 is the most popular and is what we use as well. Works very well.

We also use the TST 507 with flow thru sensors. They wok great!
Check the manufacture date on your tires. If they are 2017 or older think about replacing them and upgrading to the metal valve stems now. If the tires are 4 years old or newer, get the TPMS anyway and upgrade the valve stems when the tires age out.

I guess I'm the odd-man out. I use the TireTraker system.

https://tiretraker.com/products.php?cat=2
The same monitoring but half the price with a lifetime warranty.
I don't have flo-thru sensors but don't find that a problem.

Also use the TST 507 and it works fine. I have only used this model so have nothing to compare it to.

Years ago I used (still collecting dust in the garage) a Tire Minder TPMS. Hated it, wouldn't begin reading until a couple of miles down the road unless I removed and reinstalled the sensors. A couple years ago I bought the TST 507 and couldn't be happier.

And just for a bit of additional information.....TST has a new model out now (can't remember the model number though) and it is a significant improvement based on the TST 507 model. If I remember correctly, a larger color screen and it is also touch screen instead of having to use buttons to scroll through the sensors. Also, very easy/uncomplicated learning for adding sensors.

Used the TST for a few years until the computer went south and set off alarms on all 4tires. I have used EEZtire for the last 4 years and have been very pleased and it is much more affordable than TST.

Tpms

As a tire Design engineer I consider TPMS a MUST HAVE.

I have been running TireTraker since 2009. I am the only person I know of that is running a direct comparison of 2 different brands Traker vs TST. I have published the data on my blog on RV Tire Safety but basically have found that the are essentially equivalent in performance.

Bolt-in metal stems, not rubber with metal sleeve, are a MUST. I have also posted on metal valves and have video of a failed "high=pressure" rubber stem that caused a tire failure.

Also a fan of the TST507, used it daily for 6+ years while fulltiming.
I will say this I definitely would not want any brand of system that your phone is the monitor. I found I was looking at the pressures & temps about as often as checking the mirrors. I can't imagine having to pull out my phone, pull up the app to check tires out or figure which one is alarming or interupt my google GPS directions to check tires.

You're not quite alone, I've been using that system for over 10 years. I place the sending units on the stem when I am ready to go, and when we arrive I take them off again. Not a big deal. When stores the stem is covered by a normal dust cap. I had to replace on cap about 2 years ago, but they work well. My system is the old 400 but they are almost identical with the 600. Have gotten me out of a few potential tire loss. One time the alarm went off turned out we had a slow leak from the tire which eventually turned out to be a loose valve core. But the system worked.

Happy camping.

I may too be the odd one out, but here's why - I have used the TireMinder i10 for several years now. I prefer the information on the screen of all four trailer tires psi and temps at once, verses only one tire at a time on a rotating sequence. I can glance over at the screen and see what the temps and psi's are for all of them.

I've considered the TST brand but I just can't get past the "one tire at a time" thing. If I'm missing something here, let me know quick... we leave in three days and Amazon ships in two lately.

How often does that screen refresh?

Most sensors sent every 1 or 2 minutes the temperature and pressure.
But if sudden loss of 2 psi ( within 1 second) it sends temperature and pressure directly.
The unit then translates that as sudden pressure loss, and gives alarm.

If you have a newer GM, and probably other renewer trucks as well, You may be able to only buy the appropriate valve TMPS's for your trailer tires and use the Trailoring app in the truck to give you all the information. It works great on my 2200 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD.

As to the TireMinder i10:

"The TireMinder transmitters send updated pressure and temperature readings on a 4 minute interval. Between those four minute intervals, the transmitters will check for tire issues every six seconds. If an issue is found, the issue is immediately transmitted to the monitor."

If I didn't already have a TPMS that I am happy with, I would be interested in this brand/model.
