I lived in NJ for 55 years and been to NY city a 100 times, I have only seen a couple of the items on your list. The crowds of people and the hassle of getting around the city is not worth it. Taking a RV anywhere near there is seriously bad for the trailer, the roads are horrible. If you want to visit the city park the RV in a campground in west or north NJ, PA or upper NY and book a hotel in the city. I would then find a ride to mass transit and leave your truck at the campground. Parking in the city is horrible and most have no room for a 3/4 or full ton truck.

Recommend New York City North/Newburgh KOA. Have stayed there twice and took train into NYC. Saves a lot of hassle and there is a train station clpose to Newburgh.

PDX and SEA are not far behind. Here in Anchortown the city is musing about "Sanctioned camps." At least tourists can stay at the city RV park this summer. Last summer it was dedicated to sheltering the homeless

Agree with tommybill. Newburgh KOA is a few miles from train to NYC. Takes you right to Grand Central Station
