Any recommendation on these two Brands

Putting new tires on my Travel Trailer just looking for some opinions on these two brands.
Brand 1 Ultra CRT Load Range E
Brand 2 Trail Star Load Range E

Price Range is pretty much the same on both brands so it is not really a consideration. Let Me and thanks in advance.

I've personally never heard of either one. I would be leery of off brand tires on my RV. You would be better off with Goodyear Endurance or perhaps Carlisle. They might be a little more money but still cheap insurance.

What jsb said.

The the brands/models that seem to get the most love - are GY Endurance, and Carlisle Radial Trail HDs.

Many other brands fall into the so-called 'China Bomb' category. Not to say the brands you mention are, as I've not heard of them either, but the GY and Carlisle tires have very good overall track records with many happy users here, and on other forums.

C'mon Canadian members! Are GY Endurance or Carlisle Radial Trail available in Canada? Those two choice put forward by the OP sure sound like off brands but they might be what is available up north?

I've never heard of them and wouldn't buy them personally. I would stick with the tried and true brands mentioned.

Ultra CRT tires are warranted by Carlisle.

The Trailstar/Travelstar May be a Kinda tire.

China ST tire manufacturers will change brand names when requested by the designers/wholesalers/OEM providers.

The best way to track a brand name will be from the tire plant code molded into the tire's sidewall.

On further Investigation

Neither Tire is a China Bomb, both are manufactured in the USA. The first one listed is made by and warranted by Carlisle. The second one I am still investigating but could be an off brand of Goodyear or Uniroyal.

Hi Donna and Dan. From what research I have done the Ultra CRT IS NOT made in America. It is definitely made in China and is so marked on the tire. Go to the Carlisle site and you will find no mention of the Ultra CRT. The only people who mention Carlisle are sites that sell the tire. Not Carlisle. Why buy the CRT when you can buy a Carlisle so marked and backed by Carlisle? Which are made in China. I would recommend the Goodyear endurance.
Good Luck

A specialist in radial trailer tires, Ultra CRT is a sub-brand of the Carlstar Group and makes tires that feature a reinforced carcass with steel-belted construction and optimized tread design for improved fuel economy and even wear.

The tires are made by Unicorn Tire Corporation. This company was established in 2007 and has been responsible for making decent quality tires more accessible. Despite the name “Travelstar” becoming a household name, nobody knows much about the parent company responsible for this brand.

Thanks all for your input much appreciated.
The Ultra Crt is made in Thailand. Cannot find where the others are made.
I have decided to go with Goodyear, even though a friend has who works at Les Schwab says they have had great success with Tow Star STR.

Again Thanks Everyone!!!!

So I went to all the websites you mentioned CW. No where on those sites does it mention where the tires are made. The little blurb you gave on CRT tires is right off their web site. I went to the Unicorn Tire web site. They show two big buildings, one in Tenn. one in Texas. But the only mention they make of manufacture is that they specialized in the import and export of technologies.

A lot of people here like the Carlisle tires. Even though they are made in China. Me, I think the OP made the right decision to buy a tire made in America. They state the CRTs were made in Thailand, and maybe they are now, but a 2019 consumer review states quite emphatically they are marked right on the tire, "made in china".

There must be over 20brands of ST tires made in China. But so far, all I have been able to find is one made in America. The Goodyear Endurance. All the others seem quite hesitant to state exactly where they are made. If a company is proud to be made in China then let them sing it out.

I've never run those tires so, I'm not familiar with however, we run Sailun S637 on this camper and the one before with no problems. We just returned from a trip and these tires have about 12-14K on them and still look great. I've also heard good things about Goodyear Endurance, and the RV repair fellow near us, and the farmers all swear by Hercules.
IF you don't have TPMS it's a great investment for monitoring your tires.

While your Sailun S637 tires may be great, they are not made for 15" rims. That is why Carlisle and GY have been mentioned as the go to buys... they both come in 15" size. You are absolutely correct about TPMS though. A must have for any RVer.
