Hello I have a 2021 Raptor 351 and when i run the generator it is not transferring power to the trailer. I have checked and reset all breakers. This is the first time it has done this. Thanks for any help.

I don't have a transfer switch in my trailer, but I'm an electrical engineer. With a transfer switch, you have normal power and backup power. The transfer switch is electrically held in the position of normal power, and when that goes out, it automatically switches to backup power.
Figure out which is which, then double check voltage at each.

If it worked in the past then what if anything has changed? Some more information would also help, is the generator built into the camper via a transfer switch? If it is, did you kill power to the shore poer cable? Is the generator a stand alone and plugged in via the shore power cable? Do you have an EMS?

This is a Toy Hauler, the generator is built in and I have had no problems in the past. The shore power is unplugged. the last time it worked is about a month ago.

Unplug all power sources then open up the transfer switch, it's been reported a couple times lately that loose/poor connections inside the ATS have shorted & burnt it up.

My BIL has a Class C and the wires to the transfer switch burned and crashed. I had to open it up and attach the shore power wires going in directly to the wires going out to the coach's breaker panel. The unit was just behind the breaker panel/converter. I think it was a WFSO brand or similar. It was replaced under warranty. Now works OK.

Wonder if the transfer switch relay or contactor is stuck…possibly pitted or burnt contacts..try disconnecting all power to the coach including the generator and see if you can find the transfer switch and check that the contactor is releasing

Wonder if the OP got the issue resolved? with the two manual links TS and fixing should have been fairly easy...

different issue but similar
My GFI on the inverter 'blows' when changing power source, i.e., from campground to battery. Entire inverter was replaced but same issue. Could it be that the transfer switch is causing the GFI to pop? 2021 Montana 3121 RL

I had the same issue. The problem was all the grounds going to different places. I regrounded everything and sanded the frame powdercoating away in most places.

That’s good news Suba2. I thought I was having troubles with my transfer switch and it ended up being me. I was chasing the problem turning on my onboard generator and not getting a transfer and turning it off. Finally reread my instruction manual and found it takes several seconds to do its magic and finally switch over. It should be set up where the generator has priority and you can hear it kick over and take control of the coach power from the shore power.
