Adjusting the cables on the slide

Greetings,

We have a 2018 keystone cougar 30rkswe, the cables are loose and have watched a video on how to adjust the cables, fairly straight forward. My issue is how do I get the trim piece off? Do the three small pieces come off and then there are screws behind that? Is the whole piece stapled on with some glue?

I don't want to damage the trim piece but I cannot get to the cable adjustments with the trip piece on. I tried taking a wide putty knife to the small squares but they didn't seem to budge and I was hesitant that I could damage them.

Thanks for all your help, you all are the best.

You only need to remove the TOP facia, the top layer will be brad nailed. If you have a center piece the front and rear facias will have a gap. You might want to label and mark them so they go back on in the correct position. The particle board piece is screwed in place and may take 2 people depending on the length. phillips if I remember right. We use 18ga brads to reattach the top layer.

I use plastic windshield tools to pry off the outer layer
