Leaking from under shower on floor

2004 5th wheel Challenger.
Leaking onto floor under shower.
Even when shower off. When you got I to basement no dripping near drain.
But opening door to basement water dripping from top of metal frame at door opening. Turned off water source for whole trailer and leaking stops. Could this be the tubing connected to the faucet and shower. Should I replace the hoses and put in new faucet?

Welcome to the forum

Could be the washers at the shower faucet. You may have to remove the faucet mounting to get to the back of it.

It will have swivel seals and they fail over time. Any big box hardware store should carry them.

On my old 5ver, there is an access door in the bedroom hallway. You can easily access the faucet. Since I have no idea what model you have, not sure if your camper has the same access. Sounds like the drain ain't the issue but the pex going to the faucet inlets or the washers, etc. sounds like a good start.

Here's what you do to determine if you have a water leak or if the water is coming from some other source.

First, put water in your fresh water tank and then disconnect the water hose from the shore water source. Now, turn on your on-board water pump and let the pump pressurize the water pipe system.

Make sure all faucets are turned completely off. No drips anywhere.

Now wait and listen.....

If the water pump turns on sparadically, you have a water leak somewhere in the water pipes. It takes only 2 ounces (yes ... only 2 ounces) of water for the pressure in your water lines to reach top and bottom limits to turn the water pump on and off (only 2 ounces). That's very, very little water. But it will be enough to let you know you have a leak somewhere if the pump cycles on-and-off. If it's very slow drip, it might take an hour between water pump spurts, or even longer. If it's a faster drip or a leak, the pump will cycle faster.

Listen for the water pump FIRST before tearing anything apart. You may find your pipes and joints and everything is just perfectly fine and the water is coming in from somewhere else. (Like a roof leak or a drain leak).
