TPMS Saved Me Today

Traveling today and noticed slow air pressure drop on a trailer tire. It dropped about 10 psi in 30 miles. Knowing I had a problem I started looking for the next exit with service. As I made the exit the TPMS alarm went off. Found a tire shop before the flat. Tire had picked up a screw. Thank God for my TST 507. It saved me a flat on the interstate. My advice is to watch your TPMS like you do your tow vehicle gauges.

It’s always nice when you can see a problem coming and deal with it before it gets bad.

Researching TPMS right now. How long have you had your TST 507?

I check tires every time we stop, which is usually every 100~150 miles. Found a tire on the race trailer when we stopped in Santa Rosa that had steel showing all around. $50 to change it, well worth it. Also found out the tires were 6 years old, not 4. So changed all when we got home. Thinking about TPMS also.

Our TST 507 saved our vacation to Grand Canyon the first time out. Noticed the temp on one tire was getting higher than the other three. Turned out we had a brake shoe hung up and causing the problem. All I can say is I would not tow without a TPMS just for the peace of mind if nothing else.

I’ve had my TST 507 for 8 months. It has been flawless. I really like that it will last 8 hours on enclosed rechargeable battery. It’s on less cord to manage in the tow vehicle.

I had a TST507 on all 10 tires, dually & rv, for 6+ years fulltiming til I sold the rv & traded the truck, sold the units to a friend that used them another 2 years before selling his rigs that the TST went with. In 6+ years I had it, if I recall, I changed about 6 of the batteries.
