Ice maker line question
After finally finding the leaking water shut-off in my neighbor's Class A Forest River (no small ordeal) I discovered that the standard, typical clear 1/4 inch plastic line had crimped and broken in four places under his storage area. Their fridge is located on the super-slide so the ice maker line has to travel back and forth when the slide is opened and closed. This when the crimping occurs. Icemaker hose simply isn't designed to flex this many times without breaking at the pinched areas.
I am trying to think of a 1/4" hose material I can use in this 4 foot section that will still be flexible yet not give the ice/drinking water a rubber/neoprene taste.
Any help along these lines?
As an edit: I just found a 5' braided stainless line at Lowe's for $14.00 that is made for the ice maker....problem solved.
