Underbelly Access - Advice?
I need to access the underbelly of my Bullet Crossfire for the first time and need some advice.
After I removed a few of the rivets in the front corner near the battery, I expected the belly to easily pull away. Instead, it resisted being pulled down, like it was also attached with caulk or an adhesive of some sort. Is that normal?
How can I detach and the reinstall the underbelly without doing damage?
(I’m doing a Lithium battery install and need to run a battery cable from the DC Distribution point to the interior.)
Thanks.

I have found on some models that there is a bead of expanding foam to help “glue” the coroplast in place. You have to remove more rivets and then peel away from the foam. Use self tapping stainless steel screws and new washers in place of the rivets.

Look at the coroplast closely and see what may be holding it. On my last trailer I found that my electric stabilizers had been bolted through the frame on top of the coroplast and had to cut around them.....along with all the foam areas that helped hold it in place.

There's a video out there that depicts the way Keystone constructs trailers. It's very informative, gives some good insight into what goes into the belly of an RV, what tanks look like, how the sensors are installed in the tanks, why there's often a "creak in the floor" from loose or misdrilled screws, and shows how the trailer "misgivings" occur. It's "good viewing" for those looking to understand more about the "innerds" of their RV....

It’s a cool video. I had a 2007 Fleetwood trailer toy hauler with the modern silver maple interior we hated the dated looking interior. When I got 2015 raised panel mahogany wood grain I thought that was modern . Now I’m seeing the old Fleetwood silver or gray whatever flat panel is the modern look for 2020. I don’t get designer's going backwards.

Bob’s your uncle!
About 8 of the connectors near the front left corner were screams, rather than rivers. I removed them, then used a putty knife to separate the underbelly from the spray foam (as recommended above). It opened a couple of arm widths—perfect for the task at hand.
I removed the panel in the pass-through. The panel accesses a hidden compartment behind the water connections. It already had a 4-5” hole to in its floor. And the compartment shares a short, maybe 1’ wall with the folding couch.
So, I ran a fish tape down the hole toward the front left corner and pulled the wires so one end of each was at the DC distribution and the other in the hidden compartment. Then I cut a 2” hole in the wall of the hidden compartment into the space under the folding couch, right next to my new battery setup.
I also rerouted the cables coming out the back of the solar port to the same spot under the couch. They were just long enough..
At that point, “Bob’s your uncle,” as the Brits say.

The old saying "It goes full circle" applies to fashion, home interiors and apparently travel trailers...

Designers going backwards is only apparent to us old folks who have seen it before. To the younger generation it's their first time seeing it so it's "new" to them.
