Can I change power plug orientation?

I recently took delivery of my new Outback 330RL and we stayed in the camper the night after picking it up and I went to hook up the power cord and was shocked at what a pain it is and that it is pointed away from the driver's side (power input) of the camper when locked in place. I didn't notice this during my PDI because the dealership had their power cord hooked up and it was a straight plug. This seemed like a mistake from the factory to me but I checked another outback and it is the same way.

Can I rotate that plug 90 degrees? Has anyone done this?

This happens a lot. Just unscrew the cover and you can turn the receptacle any way that works for you. You might also check and tighten the wire connections while you have it apart because many times those connections are loose.
