Snapped the grey water valve gate

Last trip I noticed my grey water gate was slight bent and stuck out farther from my black water when closed. Guess the factory cut one longer than the other, plus it wasn't sliding open easy with the bend in it..

Well...

In my moment of genius when I was trying to straighten it I snapped it in off basically a 6" piece handle and all. I figured it was a solid rod but afterwards I realized it was hollow but threaded. So I bought a piece of 1/4" threaded rod and cut it about 4 inches long. Cut the broken piece so it was now same length as the black water, straightened it and threaded it back on.

So hopefully none of you go through this, but it was a quick fix that even up close hard to tell it is repaired. I would say if you want to extend length this might work for you too.

If you remember was it ¼x20 or ¼x28 thread. It may be something else I can carry in my already over-weight tool box. Thanks, Hank
