Another EZ-Lube question

If I pack the bearing by hand, do I still need to pump grease via the EZ-Lube? Will the grease flow out of the bearing into the empty space if I don’t?

there is no need to add any more grease. As long as you packed the bearings good, there will be plenty of grease.

The only time I felt a need to use the grease fitting was to purge the unknown factory grease when hand packing new bearings to ensure no grease compatibility issues.

^^^This. Give it a couple shots until your new clean grease comes out. If you polished the seal journal with sandpaper this will ensure there is not grit in there.
