Toilet flushing sticks
Hi Everyone:
I have a 2011 Keystone Hideout and this last trip we noticed when you go to flush the toilet the "flusher" sticks open just draining water into the tank. I'm wondering what is need to "unstick" this or what part may need to get replaced?
Luckily we caught it after only after a few minutes of overflowing, we just hit it with ever towel we had and every thing seems to be fine. The kids went and used it and didn't realize it got stuck open so obviously the black tank filled up and started to overflow....This could have been a lot worse had we left for a few hours and even luckier is the water wasn't truly black, mostly clear..
Any more information or suggestions would be helpful

I'm not sure I understand your problem. Are you saying that the ball valve at the bottom of the bowl sticks open and water runs into the black tank? Or are you saying that the ball valve closes and water runs into the bowl from the fresh water supply, filling the bowl and it overflows?
If it's the ball valve sticking, you need to reseat the valve seal and lubricate it (instructions are in the owner's manual) If it's the fresh water valve that's sticking, it could be from freeze damage, a weak spring or a misaligned foot pedal. Again, instructions are in the owner's manual.
If you would explain exactly what is leaking, or running water after you flush, we'd be happy to make recommendations.

Had a toilet in the old camper that the ball valve would slightly stick open letting the toilet fill with water. Band aid fix was to put foot under flush pedal and raise it up. It worked well until I had time to get the vinyl gloves and dielectric grease out. Every couple of months it need to be lubed.

Most people that have an issue is the ball does not close and the water drains out of the bowl but if your water is still running then I would look at the foot pedal first as it is not returning to the correct position. As said, maybe a spring or the like, maybe an adjustment or tightening something.

I have seen these happen to the plastic lever handles that are on side of some trailer toilets.
I've seen a pretty bad flood once and it's not pretty especially if your tank is half full or more.
If I am correct on the type of handle and toilet you have it's worth the $100 to get a new one with a foot pump style lever.

Thanks Everyone:
Yes, ball valve at the bottom of the bowl sticks open and water runs into the black tank. Is it just as easy as lubing the ball so it closes properly? I have some o ring lube or is there something better?

It can be that easy. If the trailer has been unused it may dried out. Lube it and see if it works.
