Propane gas detector

Apparently has died. Beeps periodically, and lights flash green then red, which indicates a fault. Reset several times, same result. Just try and buy a new one of the same brand so it mounts on wall the same?

You got it. LP detectors have a lifespan of 5-7 years. You should be able to match the brand/model with the tag either on the front or the back of the detector

I was laying on the floor this past week working on a cabinet and my butt hit the test button. My lovely 9 year old daughter said “seriously Daddy, did you have to toot?”

Don't laugh! If Fido is laying near by it WILL set it off if it squeezes off a good'un! But it's funny as hell watching the dog jump & run when it happens. Hair spray & air fresheners WILL also set it off.
That detector going off can indicate low rv batteries as well as it's wired directly to the batteries.

In previous camper we had the alarm went off about 3 a.m. Following night I was up later than the DW and I saw the dog lay up against it at about 1:30 a.m. and a couple of minutes later the alarm sounded. The lept to his feet and scattered off. I think it scared him enough the second time because he found a new "favorite" spot to sleep.
