Power button in Bedroom

Hey all,

I’ve recently purchased a 2018 Cougar half ton, bumper pull trailer. I noticed a white power button with a fault light next to it. It’s located inside the “night stand” over the head board. I cannot figure out what it operates. Any ideas? Model # 22RBIWE

Welcome to the forum. A model number would help you get a better answer. Cougar is a model line, line Cadillac, Buick , or Chevrolet. If you you go up to the top of the pager and open the "UserCP" and create a signature with the make, model, and year of your truck & trailer it will appear in all your posts.

Can you post a picture? I've looked at pictures and videos of units for sale but don't see what you describe. Could that be an indicator light to let you know it's on vs a "fualt light"? Can you ask the PO what it's for? Maybe the PO added it?

Does the unit have an inverter? I can't imagine what that's for. Hopefully someone with the same unit will chime in.

Maybe a close-up picture of the picture itself. No offense, but your picture leaves a lot to be desired. Too far away.

Looks like it says..power and fault with lights for each …could it be for a ems system ? But I think it may be an inverter …just guessing. Maybe the op can take a pic of battery and basement area

I've never seen a switch plate like that in any Keystone RV, so I'd guess that it's not OEM but is probably a "previous owner mod"...

I'd take a look for any USB ports or 12 volt power outlets around the bed. It may be the "power switch" for an "owner added phone charger/USB port"...

I hope this helps you. I don’t have that model but I do own a 2020 keystone cougar 1/2 ton bumper pull.

Could it be a power switch for the TV antenna amplifier?

I think flybouy had it correct. I randomly saw this picture to day looking up remote controls for the inverter I will install later this year.

The number for this one is a Xantrex 808-9002 but looks very similar.

Am I the only one who clicked on this thread simply because of the title alone?
