Leak In Bedroom From City Water

Hi there. Second season out, 2021 Hideout TT 24BHWE
Just had the unit de-winterized by a respected service company. Took it out and hooked up to City Water at the campground, using a water pressure regulator on the spigot. Water pump was OFF. I don't believe my trailer has any kind of option for filling the fresh tank from the City port.
30 - 40 minutes later we had water pooling in our bedroom, coming up from under the trailer.
The water connections outside are right under this area and I think one of the plumbing access areas is under the side table.
Disconnected from City Water, checked the level of the fresh water tank, it was empty. Thought we would use the fresh water tank and water pump instead of City Water for the rest of the trip, but curiosity got the best of me and I couldn't stop myself from trying City Water connection again.
Went out and very carefully, methodically and tightly re-connected to City Water connection.
Ran with no problems for two days after that.
What the heck could have caused this?
Thanks in advance.

Unfortunate that there are no responses to your inquiry. I believe i have the same problem. Small pool of water near the water inlet after some City Water activity during clean up. I don' use a regulator and had it full blast...

Were you able to find the problem?

Just FYI! This is NOT a regulator!

This IS a regulator!
The top one is a restrictor restricting flow regardless of pressures.
The bottom one usually comes preset at 55psi & will not affect low pressure but will regulate any pressures higher than it's set at.
To remedy your leak I'd get behind the wall, under the bed or wherever the rear of the water connection is found & tighten all fittings &/or confirm the gaskets in those fittings aren't damaged or missing.

Exclamation

One thing I noticed was that the city water was backflowing the pump and into the water tank. It filled up and was pushing water out of the overflow. The corrugated white hose (1 inch diam?) was apparently not clamped tight enough and water was leaking into the compartment. Does your pump cycle when no water is being used? Something to check.

OK thanks Skids. Will be tearing into it this weekend as Travelin Texan had recommended.
