Refrigerator on Gas

Our RV has a Norco electric/propane refrigerator which seems to have developed a problem a/c, just before we are leaving for a trip. On electric only, both lights are flashing, indicating no a/c power. The plug into which the refrig is plugged, tests good at 120 a/c volts. When I turn on the gas, both lights are constant and the refrigerator seems to be working fine.
My question is: How Long will it run in gas mode on a 7 gal propane tank ?

Our Dometic 8 cuft refrigerator will run at least 4-6 weeks on a 30 pound LP tank. Depending on which (how big) your Norcold is, you can gauge the propane use to be about the same for a similar size.. So, if your Norcold is a 16cuft size, plan on 2-3 weeks (at least).

As for the "electric side not working". There is a glass cartridge fuse on the control board located on the back lower part of the refrigerator. Unplug the refrigerator, remove the black plastic cover and check that fuse. While you could have a different problem, checking that fuse may eliminate the need to run on propane for this trip.

Thanks! The fuse was blown. Replaced it and tightened one side of the holder and all is good again.
