I was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy a year ago last November. Heart rate fell to 35 pbm and stayed there. Not very comfortable.
Had a fibrillation pacemaker installed last May. Wonderful device. Still working on getting strength back but I'm getting there.
Sore at the insertion site for a while but was sent home the day after the surgery. It adjusts fory activity, communicates with the Dr office, via an app ony phone tells me it's status.
Can't use a backpack blower anymore. Magneto ignitions, alternators, cell phones all generate large electric fields which can interfere with it. Keeping electric motors away is important. Kitchen appliances pose no problems according to the pacemaker manufacturer. I can deal with those.
I know it's there and am reminded of that fact everyday when I successfully wake up!
