2019 cougar 2nd a/c prep

I bought a new 2019 cougar 310rls, in February. It has the second air prep., In the bedroom. I would like to install the a/c in the bedroom. Does anyone have information on which unit would be best? Or which unit comes stock when equipped with two units... My fifth wheel does have the Icommand system, but I'm sure all the parts can be sourced if I can find out what is used. Dealer, surprise surprise, didn't seem to interested, in my quest.

Keep up the great work everyone... Stay cool

Mine came with the 2nd air conditioner with front zone and a rear zone. I believe it is a Domestic13500 btu. Just remember it’s going to add about 14” to the height of your camper that is what mine measures. I think domestic makes one that is 9” also.

I have no experience with the InCommand system but I do know that I like to use the same brand of ACs when adding/replacing. What is the current unit?

It's a 15000btu dometic brisk 2. I did read a post that it would require a relay unit, and a gateway controller for the Incommand unit to function with it.

If you don’t care about using the in command, you can put virtually any brand and size you want and just use plenum controls. You do need to use the same brand to use the in command. There is a thread here that details adding second AC with the in command system.

Thanks for the info everyone... I may look at a low profile unit, just to save some height. The Incommand would be nice, but by what I see, it would also add a hefty price to it.

Here's an excellent set of posts that several people, including myself used to add a 2nd AC to a pre-prepped trailer should you wish to run it ducted and tied in to the InCommand system.
