Roof Repair

I have 2 small punctures from a tree branch on the roof. I believe it is an rubber (epdm) roof. I am planning on using EternaBond tape for repair. What is best for cleaning the area to ensure a good permanent bond?

You have 2 small holes from branches are there any ripple effects where the branch scraped ? I have used a small amount of alcohol on a rag to prep damage areas for repairs.

Does not appear to be any ripple effect. It looks like the branch hit almost at an angle after going through the cover (brand new of course) directly between the ladder rungs. The rubber is still there and I was able to flatten it back out over the puncture. I think a small patch with the eternabond should work good. As usual prep of the area is key.

Thanks. Helpful info. Just want to make sure prep is done correctly for permanent repair.
