Just purchase a 2015 Keystone Alpine 3011RE

Working on the LCI Auto Level system so I can actually hook it up and move it. System has an External Sensor error. I will check connections and will have to probably cut into the underbelly to access the rear sensor if nothing else works. In the interim, I will manually raise the jacks so I can load the trailer and move it.

Already seeing lots of good information on the site.

Hi BB and welcome to the forum. The Alpine is a nice looking rig. We have a 2015 Montana and it has held up very well for us. The auto level system is awesome. I found Lippert customer support to be very helpful when I needed a new touch pad. Give them a call if you think they can help trouble shoot your problem. Lots of knowledgeable folks on this site as well. Good luck getting the issue resolved quickly and getting that Alpine on the road.

Welcome aboard. Are you connected to shore power when using the level system?

Tried with house battery, connected to a 3100 watt generator, and connected to my truck. Same error. Trailer has been sitting for over 4 years so I think the connectors and wiring may need to be checked.

I'd think the 1st place to check would be the 4 year old batteries that have just been sitting. Those systems are very sensitive to low voltage, it requires fully charged batteries & best is to have it plugged into shore power while using it. If the batteries are very low/weak your generator or plugged into shore power using the converter will take a couple days to charge fully & your truck plugged into them would never get them charged fully, it's a trickle at best.
You'd be better off to turn your truck around & hook up to jumper cables to get more voltage before you start tearing stuff apart.

Thank you. It is at the dealer right now getting the brakes checked, bearings packed, and new tires installed. I will load test the house battery when I get it back and also plug in to shore power and try it.

What exactly is the leveling system doing? No need to cut the coroplast yet.

As soon as the battery is connected and the LCI is powered on, it starts beeping and displaying “External sensor error”. Does not stop until battery is disconnected.

I would prefer not to cut into the coroplast as well.

Ended up having to replace the rear sensor then everything worked great.

As I go through the unit and clean and check everything out, I noticed that the ice maker in the Samsung residential fridge does not work. Can't find any valves to turn on and it looks like it was never connected. Great !!!
