I got out of south beach Oregon after having flashbacks about securing equipment during a typhoon Sea of Japan in 74 at camp Hanson marine corps base. I left this morning went S E to La Pine Oregon st park up 20 to 78.Ill say Oregon has the nicest roads with senic views.

The coast gets 65-95" of rain a year, more toward the north end, less toward the south end.

The best advice for gas is to pick times of day when it isn't busy and, if you are pumping diesel, smile and be nice and the attendant may well let you do it yourself. Since the coast is such a tourist area, even the counties in which one might be eligible to pump non-diesel gas during the evening hours likely won't allow it.

Oregon's current "strange" laws are no self serve gas, state-controlled hard liquor sales (wine and beer are available in grocery stores and convenience stores) and legal pot. If you like beer, bring a growler to fill at a microbrewery or growler fill location.

I'm sorry to say the Oregon weather dumped on me . I suppose that's not bad it happen. In Quartsite with 90 dereee heat and riding the Harley. The winter birds are moving in all ready and I'm leaving for home . Wiil be back here for the quartzsite jamboree in January.
