Short Stop Circuit Breakers

Hello...

I have a couple questions regarding Short Stop Circuit Breakers. We have a 304BHS and over the last couple years I have been having issues with the battery not charging when plugged into 120v. I checked everthing I could think of including metering the voltage, read throuh all the manauls and came to the conclusion that the convertor must be bad. Then the other day a guy at the office mentioned these circuit breakers to me...never knew I had them, nothing in my manuals about them. Well I have two, one is auto reset, the other manual. I tried to remove the wrs to check them and the breakers broke into many pieces...now i need to replace them. My quesions: 1. can they both be auto reset? and 2. could this be causing my battery issue?

Thanks,
