New 5th wheel

Well we sold our 05 Keystone Larado last weekend, and bought a 2013 Keystone Cougar 327res today! We are soooo ready to do some camping this season. Been planning a trip to the Badlands for a couple of months now, and the new 5th wheel has us wanting to leave this minute! Oh well, I guess patience is a virtue!

We are also very anxious to get to the campgrounds this year! We bought our camper at the end of last season and only used it once. We live in northern MI and are super ready for spring to explore.

We will be staying at Custer state park. Looking forward to seeing Deadwood, Mt Rushmore, ect! Has anyone here been that way lately?

I grew up in Custer (a LOT of years ago) but still get back there often. Just a heads up that the Badlands are a couple of hours east of Custer State Park.

Congrats on the camper. We purchased a 2012 327 res after a couple years of shopping moved from a Jayco 26 ft bunkhouse no sides with the two childern. To a new Cougar without childern, (No we didn't get rid of them they just grew up and now we are not in their in group anymore) Me and my wife cried alot when we found out we would be alone while camping. Well she did more then I did. I was thinking it's a good time to fire up the honeymoon all over. So far so good now if I could just stabilize the camper a little better. Anyway good choice and happy trails to ya!!!!

Exclamation Watch out for height

I wish I remember exactly where it was. I was heading to Mt Rushmore through some awesome scenery with just my truck. After several miles I came to some places where the road went through some cave like entrances. No way could my trailer have gone through there. And I would have had to back up for a VERY long way. Watch for signs!!

Pretty country. The Blue Bell lodge campground is really nice. The lodges all through the park have great restaurants.

well, im really looking forward to the trip out west! We've been doing some driveway campin, just feeling out the new 5er. The remote that operates the slideouts, awning, and landing gear is awsome! I need to brush up on my backing skills, this 5er is about 5 foot longer than the one we just sold.

That's a long one for mountain spots. Make ReserveAmerica your friend so you can check length and make sure there is something open when you get there. We have been known to driveway camp with our new RV.

Congratulations on the new Cougar. We're planning a trip to the Badlands as well in 2 months. Staying in Hermosa at Heartland Campground. Than we're off to the Grand Teton & Yellowstone National Parks.
Enjoy!

I don't have the 327, but my 318 has an outlet inside the sliding door of the closet. Maybe yours has one there too.

By the way, the 327 is a beautiful layout!!

We loved that 327RES...one of the best floor plans around to be sure. Were it not for my 6"3" frame, moving us into the full profiles and Montana 3150RL, that would have been our choice. Have a great time with the new rig!
