For our second outing with the new (used) camper on Memorial day weekend, we traveled a short distance to the Seeley/Swan Valley (About 60 miles south of Glacier National Park). Found a nice small clearing about 5 miles off the highway large enough for our small group, we got there early so I got this picture of where we set up.

Plenty of wild game around for the weekend, deer were pretty upset with us for camping in their clearing from the way they were acting and 'huffing' through the night. Guess they gave up when we didn't leave and ended up feeding about 6 feet away from the slide-out window -- not long enough for me to get the camera out though.

Had a great 4 day outing with the camper, with Sunday being a full day of moderate to hard rain, which gave us the opportunity to check for any leaks, especially around the slide-out... all checked out great. The twin 6-volt batteries worked great, never got that kind of longevity in our older camper with the two 12 volt batteries.

I'm sure others have camping pictures to add to the thread. Post 'em up, never know when we might be in your neck of the woods looking for a place to set up.

This is from our recent trip to Yellowstone and our site at Grizzly RV Park in West Yellowstone. Yellowstone is awsome when covered in snow!

Our signature picture is from Turkey Run State Park in central Indiana. Awsome place for hiking!

Been playing on the computer, thought I would drop a comparison in here for opinions, any preference? Images don't show the window detail clearly, but around the window it will be vinyl wrap -- and windowscape material on the windows themselves.

StanMT, Howdy;

Kinda favor the daylight one, looks like a nice place to do some fishin' ...

The other does as well, just have more time to enjoy the daylight one ...

from a fishin' point of view ...

I agree with Hankaye. After all, Montana is the "Blue Sky" state. Besides, the blue matches the license plate.... Now if you move to New Mexico....... <VEG>

Daylight

Stan,
We prefer the daylight scene but any Montana Mountain scene is a winner with us!

Thanks for the input folks, appears to be a toss-up as to preference. I'll be playing around with a few more scenic photos, once one is decided on the son will print up the vinyl wrap and windowscape and we'll get it put on. Will get some additional pictures after it is finished.

Thanks again.

Another spot along Hungry Horse Reservoir (Northwest Montana). This is at the Canyon Creek boat launch site. Dry camping in a small open area just past the boat launch ramp. This was out last outing for the year, got in a bit of hunting and we were the only ones in the area for a 3 day weekend.

So sad now, camper is wrapped up for the winter. So long until spring.....

Buckhorn campground. Chickasaw National rec area. Arbuckle lake South Central Oklahoma. I love this campground & it's close to home. Water & electric only no sewer hookups. Comfort station has solar heated showers & clean restrooms.
