Which size B&W Companion hitch for potential trailer?

We are considering the purchase of an 18,000 GVW 5th wheel trailer. Our truck is a GMC Sierra 3500 DRW with the under-bed puck system (I think that's what they call it). Basically, there are caps in the bed that when you remove them, you can see the mount points underneath.

We've narrowed our hitch choices to the B&W Companion hitch, but we're wondering whether we can use the 20,000lb model or is there any benefit in going with the 25,000lb model? The difference in price is not enough to matter.

I imagine the large hitch is going to be heavier to get in and out of the truck, but I think we'll just leave it in there all the time.

We will never be going to a heavier trailer with this truck (the 18,000lb GVW is really at the limit of this truck already) so we can safely say we'll be limited to 18,000lb GVW.

If anyone thinks I should consider a different hitch, I'm open to that too.

Thanks for your opinions,

JMHO but I think you will be good with the 20K model, it should give you the comfort cushion your looking for. My fiver is 10240 GVWR and my hitch is rated for 14K. Went cross country in '09 with 0 issues.
