Wiper Seal Replacement
Hello all--
First time poster.
I have a 2016 Keystone Hideout 38FKTS and this past weekend I noticed a few spots where the top wiper seal is pulling away from the camper. The actual wipers where they contact the slide-outs are fine, just the mounting section is the issue. My question is to replace the entire wiper seals, do I need to remove the 2 solid strips that frame the wiper seal? Unfortunately they are glued to the camper. Or are the wiper mounts somewhat flexible? I've attached a picture to show the issue.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum ;wlcm:
If the seal is intact, you might try cleaning the failed adhesive and using new spray adhesive. Normally that piece has a strip of adhesive on it with a covering on that you peel off.

Could I use outdoor clear Silicone or possibly use small stainless screws?
Thanks.

I wouldn’t use any screws, silicone would take a long time to cure and would make eventual replacement a messy job. Spray adhesive is quick and holds real good, I’ve used it numerous times.

Wondering if E6000 might be a good option?? I’ve used it on door rubber trim for cars with great success.

Do you have any preference for the adhesive? I see this 3M is available locally (3M Super 77 Spray 13.8-oz Spray Adhesive).
Also, using this won't create any troublesome removal of the wiper seal a few years down the road will it? Thanks for the info!

I'm no expert, so I don't really see an issue with the seal other than where the screw has bulged it out a little bit, but i think the sealant circled should probably be touched up?
