over the past 18 months we have owned two new trailers (trade/upgrade to the trailer that better matches our use/need). The first trailer we pulled 8000 miles and everything was fine. Although I check the tires/pressure/etc. On our last trip about 4000 miles on the "second trailer tires" there was significant wear not noticed on the first. Thank goodness for the 507 monitors as I would be down to no spare and a 'severely worn tire' that I had already swapped out with the spare. After buying one new HD tire I've changed all of them to Carlisle HD tires and now will carry 2 spares....as we tend to go long distances.

If you haven't got either yet to add to your safety concerns along with an TPMS, I'd recommend spending some more of your $$. You need a good EMS for your incoming power & an adjustable water pressure regulator, both should be connected every time you park.

Totally agree with Danny on this. Some campgrounds have been around a long time and the utilities look like they came straight from a third world country. I would add a quality 10" canister water filter to the "must have" list. Spend money on these "protective" devices first before buying all the useless "RV" stuff that ends up cluttering up your storage compartment.

Seems like the Price jumped up a lot over the last couple of years. Not sure if I am remembering correctly. I thought it was around $250 a couple of year ago. I think it is $368 now on Amazon.

I am speaking of the 507 TMPS system.

This is/was our spare tire. It was 2.5 years old and never on the ground. Spent it's entire life on the spare tire rack, under a Keystone tire cover. One day at the campsite the sidewall just exploded. I inspected it and aired it up one week prior. No visual sign of defect. Trailer King brand, aka china bomb.

If you're asking for Advice and/or Opinions...
Change your tires before you go.

New tires, TPMS, EMS and RV toilet paper. Some folks swear by better quality water pressure regulators and cannister water filters. I think a trash can with a lid that closes is a necessity to keep from getting fruit flies and regular flies moving in. The rest of the camping gear aka junk you think you will need will likely sit in your storage compartment and get mice turns on it.

The TST 507 was not available when I was begging for Christmas gifts a couple years ago.... out of stock. My family got me a Guta TPMS. It works pretty well. Pressure and temps. I had to have their excellent customer support walk me through set up. I am old and directions are not my strong suite.

https://www.amazon.com/GUTA-Tire-Pre...xpY2s9dHJ1ZQ==

They didn't have the 8 sensor systems available at the time; only 4 and 6 so I got the four sensor system. May eventually get four more sensors (the control unit accomodates 8). I would have purchased (or begged for) the TST system if it had been available.

Your LRDs are only going to be index 113 rated for 2500 lbs in a 225/75R15. If you get a 205/75R15, I think you’ll be limited to an LRD index 107 are only 2150 lbs each which would carry the weight, in theory, but too close to maxing them out and will exceed the weight rating once the tires start to age and lose load carrying capacity. An LRE index 117 is 2835 lbs each. Many people would think a small trailer would not need an LRE tire, but you’d have to remember there’s only 2 of them. I just checked the keystone website, the minis with a slide come with the 224/75R15 LRE, the none slide units are a 205/75R15 LRD. Regardless of which one you have, I’d go with the LREs.
You are correct, I do not have a slide.

I installed the Progressive Industries hardwired EMS about two months ago. I plan on replacing the tires after our next trip. I current have a little over 1k miles on them right now. I guess I'll also pick up that TST before our big summer trip to Glacier and Yellowstone. Thanks to everyone for the input!

Since we just bought our trailer this year, we obviously missed the 13mo window for reservations. Our original trio was to stay at the south entrance for two nights, then four nights about ten miles from the west entrance.

The purpose of our original trip has since changed, and is now Glacier for two full days and Yellowstone for Three full days plus travel. I recently snagged a 65' space with full hookups at fishing bridge for our trip in August.

I like the south entrance, that’s why we go to headwaters, it’s also one of the few places that can fit us. Love the Grand Tetons and always take some time to go to Jackson for some white water rafting on the Snake River. Enjoy your trip.

With the increases in fuel prices, I'm not surprised that there are openings at Fishing Bridge. It was just remodeled and updated since our last stay there.

Don't be surprised when you see the "bear proof trash cans"... I was walking our dog about 10PM one night and he "alerted on something" and it turned out to be a bear wandering around the campground. So, "civilization" doesn't extend to the full hookup sites LOL

I'm not sure how (or if) they reconfigured the campsites, but they were "back to back and barely adequate in width"... To us, it didn't matter as we were "up at dawn and didn't get back to the trailer until well after dark. It was, for the most part, just a place to sleep during that stay.

There's gas and diesel just outside Fishing Bridge campground, but when we were there it was about $1.50/gallon more than just outside the park. I'd suspect it's over $7 for diesel now.

Enjoy your stay and if you get back to the trailer early enough in the evening, the "ranger talks around the campfire" are entertaining and educational.

And there lies the reason we are taking the Harley with us in this trip. We can use it for a lot of the running around and our trips to Jackson Hole. Of course, we won’t be riding it on our drive around Yellowstone, I’d hate to see what a buffalo would/could do to a motorcycle. There are times when it’s good to be in a cage.

Replacing stock tires are first for me. However, your Karrier Load Star ST205/75R15D tires are rated for 2200 lb at 65 psig https://recstuff.com/tires/15-traile...enda-loadstar/ and your single axle Keystone 175BH has a GVWR of 4400 lbs https://www.rvusa.com/rv-guide/2022-...-175bh-tr53754 so your tires are at maximum AND do not have a safety margin. Suggest replacing them with a namebrand, higher load rating tire.....F or G ply.

I beleive the tires are 15" not 14".

Yes, they are 15”.

For anyone wanting to just read it instead of researching for themselves, all the specs are listed in my post #20. At the time of that post, I wasn’t sure which Springdale mini he had (I can’t see that info on my phone and I don’t like the layout of the full site). Now knowing that it’s a 1750, no slide unit with 205/75R15, I could go back and edit that post to remove irrelevant info, but everything the OP needs is there.
