Jim is right Jasin. I was remiss in not thanking you. Watched it, shared it with DW thinking how great it was but did not thank you so......Thanks!

I have a tendency to cull bad news and peoples misfortunes from the internet lately…don’t really no why as I’m usually I glass half full kinda guy…I just need to remind myself that on any given day the good deeds and good stories outnumber the bad …it’s just the bad is what catches are eye as far as headlines

The dog is certainly a hero, and in my opinion her owner doesn’t deserve such a great dog.

No one is talking about the fact the driver was drunk and that’s why he crashed. No one is talking about his passenger; a self-employed father of three who is still hospitalized with very serious injuries to his leg, hip and spine and may never walk right again. No one is talking about the passenger’s dog who was killed in the crash; a dog that was a Christmas gift as a puppy from his 3 young daughters in 2020.

Yes, the dog is certainly a hero, and a better “person” than her owner will ever be.

I am not trying to pee on anyone’s parade, just bringing awareness to the continuing saga of media hypocrisy. I called out the heroism and loyalty of the dog first and foremost.

I make no apologies for the remainder of my statement, which is/was likely related to my military and law enforcement history as a K9 handler and desire for truth, justice and the American way. I love dogs, people suck.

Come on guys...."becoming a grouchy old man at 54"? Crap, I've been grouchy (very) since I was 30 or so. Affliction? My "being me" served me very well when I was working.....just have to tone it down and figure a different path after being retired 16 years. I AM the guy that will see things 1/2 empty because I've had to deal with the "glass 1/2 full" failures too many times.

On the other hand, an uplifting story about a pup can just stand on its own without punching holes in the story and detracting from the centerpiece...the puppy. The other stuff, while interesting, should be in some other sidebar. JMO

Dude, I have to agree with you. You are not putting the dog down, you are merely calling out the media for not pointing out the other sides of that story. All valid. Dogs are awesome, people suck.
