I once was on the other end of the stick ... sort of say.

We were camped in a state park though. But I had on the most torn and tattered pair of blue jeans I'd ever had. They were shreaded. I'd been working on the roof of my camper, checking things out. I was hot, dirty, sweaty, and tired.

I proceeded to put my tools away, when in my tool box I saw a red lens cover for one of the running lights I'd replaced from my previous camper. And I thought, I've been dragging this thing around long enough. I'll never use it. I'll find someone with a camper where this might fit and just give it to them for a spare.

So, I'm walking down the road (daylight now), eye-balling campers intently ... looking at their running lights. (do you have any clue how many differrent types of running lights are mounted on all these different brands of campers?).

Anyway, I found one that looked like it might be a match. So, I standing in the campground road, tattered, torn, sweaty, hot, miserable looking, studying out this camper, carefully looking at their running lights. Then I saw it. The people sitting there were becoming horribly uncomfortable with me just standing there, staring at their camper. I know they were wondering what on earth I was up too.

From my best judgment, it looked like the lens was match. I then walked over to where they were sitting, and I swear, the woman got up, grabbed her kid and skee-daddled into the camper leaving the man there. He got up with hands on his hips and I could tell he was very, very angry.

I attempted to politely introduce myself, told him what I was doing, and then handed him the red running light lens. I asked him to double check it it would fit his, which he did. He said it was a match. I said, "Merry Christmas". And walked away!

Jim, good info, thanks.
I've been around southern and western Ohio but not up north.
