Shower water pressure

When connected to City water the water pressure is good everywhere except the shower. When you turn the shower head over or facing up where the water is coming up. The water is maybe, I could be exaggerating only coming out an inch. When it's running off of the fresh water tank the water in the shower pulses. The only place that it pulses is in the shower. Any suggestion?

If you dont have an adjustable water pressure regulator you should pick one up. Had that problem adjustable regulator is nice. Those non adjustable regulator are about 40 pounds of pressure. 45 is where I have our adjustable regulator set.

Sounds like your shower head has a "water saver" disk in it. Typically a plastic disk with a small hole in it. You can remove it, or replace the shower head with a better one. I use an Oxygenatics shower head and several others on do as well.

The "pulsating" on the pump is normal. You can fix that by installing an accumulator tank on the output side of the pump.

RV showerheads are "notoriously frustrating".... If you find an OEM showerhead that provides a satisfactory shower, you'll have found the "first cousin to the <name your treasure here>"

In other words, "yeah, me too, and everyone else here as well".....

You might consider a trip to WalMart, on the top shelf in the RV section you'll find an Oxygenics RV shower kit. It consists of a "revolutionary showerhead" a cutoff valve and a new 60" hose.

Install it, you'll find a significant improvement over the OEM showerhead.

water pressure regulator
We have the Measureman Adjustable regulator but the pressure here is about 30 PSI.

With city water pressure at 30 PSI and most "onboard water pumps" providing 40 PSI, you might consider using your water pump (with water in the fresh water tank) to augment your low city water pressure. Simply fill the fresh water tank and when you get ready to shower, turn on the pump (leave the city water connected and running). The pump will "boost" the pressure to the 40 PSI at which it runs, giving you a little more than just the city water pressure...

As a clarification, no pressure regulator used for RV applications will increase the city water pressure, so what's coming out of the faucet is the most you'll get without a booster pump of some sort. Might as well use the "built in one" rather than buying another to install.....
