6 point level assitance

Quick question for everyone, like the headline states, I am new at this 6 point system, and trying to see what if anything I should put under the pads. I have seen some guys use stacking blocks but it looks unstable. I currently have 4 orange pads, the over size ones for soft ground on my TT-TH. Should I invest in some blocks or stick with my 6x6 blocks for the added height?
Im open to any idea or suggestion. Thanks!

I don't put anything under mine. The 8" pads do a great job of distributing weight and I've never had a sinking problem. I guess if you get into some really soft ground they could settle some.

I only use pads where it may be a bit soft underneath. Mostly never use anything.

Thank you, have you ever needed additional height? Or has the hydraulic jacks had enough to level out the unit? Im not sure if the unit I saw was so uneven he needed blocks or he was just inexperienced.

Haven't had a need for increased height, I've had tires off the ground while leveling, the jacks have more than enough length. I suppose there could be some locations that would be that far off, but I haven't camped at them.

I only use boards when the surface is soft or unlevel to not over extend the jacks.

I have 2 pkgs of leveling blocks left over from the travel trailer days. I place 1 under each pad and have more if needed. What else am I going to do with them?

I use the orange pads under mine. Sometimes use 4-5 on each front leg as it seems more stable without the legs extended all the way. And I have ran out of travel on the legs when leveling before

I use a 12" X 12" X 3/4" rubber pad that I cut out of a horse barn stall mat. These can be found at most farm stores and can be cut using a sharp utility knife.

The rubber is bullet proof and it protects the aluminum feet of the hydraulic legs.

The only time we have problems with settling jacks is on gravel sites. 12x12 3/4" plywood scrap works fine. Otherwise... no problem, even had entire starboard side tires (door side for you "landlubbers") 3"inches off of the ground on a really rotten site. I wound up stacking left over orange blocks in front of the steps for my vertically challenged, 5'2" LOML. LOL

We have a 4 point system. I use the plastic ones for height. They're lightweight and interlock. I also use Hosspads in soft areas 'cause they're larger.
