Battery Disconnects?

My old Jayco had a dealer installed disconnect on it and the new Passport doesn't and I'd like to add one. I noticed there are many different styles on the market. Some mount right on the battery inside the battery box, some mount on the outside giving you quick access.

What type do you have and why? If you have any pictures of your install I'd like to see them.

I'm trying to figure out which way to go

I mounted mine on the +'ve side right on the battery box.

Very convenient.

If installing a switch, I like the Perko switchs. They can get wet, as several of mine have in boats. They have the big dial, easy to read and can turn on #one or# two or both batteries and kill the power. They are used on boats, emergency vehicles, motorhomes. Placement would be a problem if mounted in the open as anyone could turn it on/off.

Thinking about the Marineco dial type switch.
