Running On Battery

I have a 2014 Hideout 27dbs. My questions is should the fan be working while running on battery? I was trying it out tonight and it would not run while on battery. It runs fine while plugged into the house. I was in the understanding only the AC would not work but the regular fan option would. The heat will work fine on battery too. This could make for a really warm weekend without a fan. I thought I had it running off battery previously but do not recall.

It would help us answer your question if you were to specify which fan you are referring to:
1) converter fan? 2) Air Cond fan? 3) overhead ceiling fan? 4) other?

The fan that is controlled from the thermostat which also controls the AC.

If you mean the "fan that is INSIDE the A/C" it is a 120VAC fan and will only work when the trailer is plugged into shore power or into an adequately sized generator. It will not work on 12VDC only.

The furnace fan, the overhead bathroom vent fan, the range hood fan are all 12VDC and will work with the battery. They do not require shore/generator power.

Both the air conditioner fan and the air conditioner compressor require shore power/generator power to operate.
