I have a 2013 Raptor 365lev. I don't have any problem at all with the tie downs. When I use the real heavy duty straps with large hooks I use a carabinier rated higher than the strap. I just insert the carabinier into the tie down and then attach the hook to the 'binier.

I can't imagine that anybody is hauling anything in a toy hauler that requires 2" or larger straps. The tie-downs were not built to strap down construction equipment. I secure an 1100 lb golf cart with 4 straps with no issue. Smaller straps may be advisable.
I like the built in tie down points, but I will agree that they could be improved. It would be nice if they could design some sort of retractable tie down that would still be flush with the floor when not in use.

Not sure who is trying to use 2" straps. Mine are 1" ratchet straps designed for motorcycles and atvs and still don't fit. I think the folding type my last trailer had were better. I'll have to look and see if I can find carabiniers that will fit.

I had some problems with the strap hooks popping off the tie-down due to angle (I guess). My solution was to add some Clevis shackles.

Hook Thickness
Okay got out to the RAPTOR today, still colder than He...l high little over 30 today. Like I said in a previous post I never had any issues with the straps/hooks I have been using (relative term). Easily hooked into the garage floor. I found a heavier strap than II have been using in the garage which had an attached hook material diameter of 15/32". Hooked it to the floor with no problem (loose). My guess it would take a .5" diameter hook (tight).
For those having problems not sure what size hook you are using? I do not remember the capacity of this larger strap?
Since some Raptor owners are having issues and others not, KS may have changed the depth or diameter of the cup welded to the frame. I am sure this would not surprise anyone.

Here's an example of the hooks my straps have. The issue ends up being the length of the open part of the hook. If I cut 1/4" or so off the end of the hook, it will work. Maybe I just have bad luck and my hooks are longer than most. For these to work, the pockets in the floor would need to be a bit deeper or larger diameter.

BTW, those hooks are 3/8" that is powder coated, so the overall thickness ends up around 15/32".

Bad luck
YEAP if you would cut off 1/4 to 3/8 " as you said it would look more like hooks I have seen/used. Camera interface not cooperating right now, will sent picture like you supplied to me as soon as I can

OKAY had to get another camera, anyway here is a picture of the hook used on all the straps I own. These are more of a "S" shaped hook rather than the deeper one in your picture. I guess you can say I was lucky or luckier than you
Looks like buy more straps with different hooks or take a hacksaw to yours as you suggested
Sorry for the delay, back to working on other camera interface

USCargoControl has wire hooks that I had to sue on my fuzion with the same attach points. Some of the s hooks will fit but they will unhook if the strap loosens. Sorry but I couldnt figure out how to put a link in here. By the way I have a RZR 900 4 weighing in at close to 1400 lbs and I use heavy enough straps so I dont have to worry about a hard stop putting the darn thing in my kitchen.

Had to cut my hooks about 1/4" and works. My straps with the carabiners on them will not work.
