battery charging problems

I am sure this has been discussed before but I can't find it. I have sprinter 320 bhs TT and my battery will not hold a charge for any length of time. I turn off the disconnect switch when i will be away for a couple of weeks and also remove the power to the trailer. I make sure nothing is on and when I get back its dead. I can't even power the radio. It is a deep cycle battery and i have checked the acid level and its ok. Anyone have any ideas besides just removing the battery and see if it holds a charge that way.
Thanks

No need to remove the battery just one cable. The disconnect does not cut all power and they will drain a battery in no time. This has been discussed in length many times. Travel safely, Hank

If you don't want to disconnect (remove) the battery cable every time, you could get one of these switches to put on the cable end/battery terminal....

NOTE: I didn't mention whether to put it on the positive or the negative terminal. There is a difference of opinion among many users. The objective is to remove the battery from the circuit and installing it on either terminal will effectively accomplish that. So, the choice is yours LOL

Be sure to turn it back on before towing,on most the battery is needed to activate the electric trailer brakes.

Just a quick note: The electric trailer brakes are powered by the controller in the TV. The trailer battery is necessary only in the event of a breakaway to activate the brakes and should always be connected when towing.

Additionally, if your trailer has an electric tongue jack (which is standard equipment on most travel trailers over 25'), you can't raise the tongue to hitch it to your tow vehicle without turning the battery back on.

You may want to verify the battery's condition. No mention that battery was load tested. Just because a battery is new(er) or seems to charge or hold a charge does not mean it is good. JM2C

Well i had the battery load tested after it was recharged and all tested 100%. I left one cable off and will hope this helps while still parked for a few more weeks.

How can you test to validate your battery is charging when on shore power or generator?
