2014 Cougar HC Roof Improvement

I'm not sure if this is only on the 2014 models or not but I just installed the Camco gutter extensions http://www.amazon.com/Camco-42123-RV...ter+extensions
and while up there I noticed the rubber roof covering goes over the top and down the side a few inches before connecting to the wall. This is such an improvement over trailers that connect right at the top. This means water will naturally flow off the roof and not collect at the seams thereby greatly reducing the chance of a leak and delamination.
Just thought you Cougar High Country folks would like to know!!!
Happy trails,

It is called a rolled roof. I have it on my 2013 Sydney and did not have it on my 2010 Sydney. A huge improvement with drainage thus reducing areas of pooling.

My 2013 Cougar was built that way as well as having a vaulted roof line. There is nowhere for water to pool.

My 2011 Springdale also has a rolled roof. In fact, our 1972 Jayco also had a rolled roof, but that was back long before EPDM was developed for RV use. We had a "galvanized tin" roof laid in 24" interlocking sections. How well I remember the KOOL KOTE we did every year. The trailer started out weighing about 2200 lbs. After 3 years of roof applications, I'm guessing it weighed closer to 2800 lbs. That stuff was heavy LOL

My race car hauler had a one piece, aluminum roof. I had that trailer built with a full walk on roof for spotting. Sometimes I wish that I had kept it. It was the ultimate toy hauler. It had a twenty foot garage.
