Hello from Oklahoma

Hi,

I recently bought a 2013 Cougar 31SQB. I've been RV'ing for four years. This is the third camper in those four years. The first two were totaled by insurance due to hail/wind storms. (Yes, the stories you hear about the storms here are true. LOL)

My first two trailers were Forrest River products and I liked each of them. However, my wife and kids fell in love with the 31SQB's floor plan. It's interesting to see the similarities and differences between brands.

I tow it with a 2011, Chevy 2500HD, 6.0L with the 3.73 diff. It handles the Cougar just fine. Oddly, mpg's with the Cougar are a little better than with my last trailer even though it is two feet longer and 600lbs heavier.

No worries. The insurance settlements have been very generous and have helped me trade up without losing much money. However, I'm tired of camper shopping and I'd like to hang on to this one for a few years.

And from the west coast, the land of rain and moss, WELCOME! I'd rather have rust than those type of storms

Welcome from Oregon. I wouldn't trade our Oregon weather for anything, although a bit of California sunshine is always welcome during the Winter months
