New Members and New High Country!

Hello,

We are Randy and Kathie form Central Pennsylvania. We’ve been camping since the early ninties -- first in a tent (once!) then a couple years in a smallish Coleman pop-up, then 10 years in a big Jayco pop-up, then, for the last three years, in a Rockwood Roo hybrid. Our three granddaughters (4, 6 and 10) and their mom frequently camp with us, and we also have two English springer spaniels who will be joining us from time to time when the kids aren’t along.

We really like the fit and finish of the Montanas, and were excited to find most of the same features in the lighter weight High Country. This past Saturday we finally decided to make the jump, and we purchased a 2013 Montana High Country 338DB. The bunk room will be great when the girls are with us, and will be a great place for the dogs and their crates when we are “kidless.” One of my favorite things will be, I think, the outside kitchen! No more heating up the rig cooking inside in the summer!!

We are in the process of unloading the Roo so we can schedule pick-up of our new rig -- I am sure we will get lots of great info from this forum as we venture into the realm of 5th wheel camping!!

Randy and Kathie, Welcome to the forum. I am sure that you will love your new High Country. It is a huge step up from a Roo. You may have trouble finding each other in that 5r. Travel safely and enjoy, Hank

Dwighop - That full size shower (and the four door fridge) were two of the biggest selling points for us!!
