Welcome to the forum

What type of slide is it? If it’s a cable slide, you need to look at the sides, there is a trim strip that fills in the gap, The slide doesn’t sit “flush”.

It is a cable type—the slide lacks almost 2” on the inside and the cupboard doors wont open properly. There is a gap behind the inside of a good 1 1/2”.

I’m almost betting on an obstruction. You need a long flat stick to “sweep” the entire length. You may be able to sweep from the outside, run the slide in about 1/2 way.

Chuck if the extend jam nuts backed off and the cables loosened, could that be a cause?

I would think you would see slack cables. Knowing that it worked and then they moved, has me thinking something rolled behind the slide.
